Youth Day and Father’s Day at Maropeng

This week, we're using Youth Day and Father's Day to showcase the very best of what Maropeng has to offer.

We're open all day on Youth Day, Thursday 16 June, and have put together a special family package that entitles a family of four, comprising two children and two adults, to a discounted tour of the Maropeng exhibition. The package comes at a cost of R270 (which amounts to a saving of R100) and additional children can join for just R50 per child (a saving of R15). The exhibition will be open between 9am and 4pm. A live marimba band and kids' jumping castle will keep you entertained when you're not learning about the origins of our ancestors. Our walking trail will also be open, allowing you to appreciate our exquisite surrounds.

To make sure you don't go hungry on the day, we'll also be serving a sumptuous lunch at our Tumulus restaurant for just R220 per person. Children under the age of 12 eat for R110.

And then, just three days later, it's all about dad. Our remarkable Father's Day package comprises an indulgent three-course lunch with cognac and brandy pairings. Think sea salt-cured king prawns paired with Bisquit VS; rack of lamb, cooked to perfection, together with the subtle aromas of Bisquit VSOP; and chocolate squares combined with the hazelnut, roasted coffee and dark chocolate flavours of a Richelieu 10-year vintage.

With an experience like that, nothing says love like Father's Day at Maropeng.
