Maropeng exhibition

Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a guided tour of the Maropeng exhibition.

Walking trail

This trail is an easy walk of over just two kilometres, which allows you the opportunity to bird-watch, enjoy our beautiful, indigenous trees and plants, and admire the views of the Magaliesberg and Witwatersberg, all out in the fresh air. It is clearly signposted with white stone markers and there are benches staggered along the way.

Stone Park

Set in the middle of the walking trail, is Stone Park – a beautiful and serene space in which to take a break. You can pre-order a picnic basket to enjoy at Stone Park. Please note, these picnic baskets are the only food allowed at our picnic sites for health and safety reasons.

Maropeng Marketplace

Food can be bought at the Marketplace from 10am-3pm. Please note Maropeng will be completely cashless, so bring along a card to pay for purchases.

Please try to be on time! If you arrive late we will try to reschedule your booking for the day. But if there is no availability, then you will have to forfeit your ticket without a refund.

When you arrive at the gate, our guard will ask for your ticket if you have pre-booked.
