Langa says the menu has a distinctive, novel style about it: French with a definite South African feel. Under his guidance, the talented young chef Thapelo Letsogo devised the menu. In true contemporary cooking style, they will be using delicate cooking techniques and micro herbs sourced from a farm in Magaliesberg. All the ingredients are local.

“When we ran a trial of the menu, it was a great success,” Langa says.

On Christmas Day guests will be welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine, before being seated at a festively decorated table.

The seafood starter includes a beautifully presented salmon terrine, prawns and mussels.

Langa and his team have come up with four delicious main meals, so guests will have a choice between beef fillet, salmon, turkey and a ricotta-and-herb dumpling.

What would Christmas lunch be without mouth-watering desserts?

Sweets include malva pudding, a South African favourite (but with a twist), Black Forest cake, Austrian chocolate mousse and, as a lighter option, fresh fruit salad.
