Share Valentine’s Day with your partner this year by spending the night of Saturday 11 February 2017 at Maropeng. This specially crafted package includes an incredible dinner, followed by a guided tour of the night sky with our resident astronomer, Vincent Nettman. When you retire for the night, you will find a long-stemmed red rose, a chocolate turndown and bath salts waiting. Upon awaking the next morning, you are invited to enjoy our delicious champagne breakfast.

Amuse-bouche

Smoked salmon with sour onion, sushi salad and seedlings

Starter

Seared queen prawn, grilled cured watermelon and lemon curd; or
Savoury custard, herb oil, basil chips and crispy bruschetta

Palate cleanser

Lemon sorbet

Main course

Duo of confit duck leg and rack of lamb, cranberry and tomato jus, crumbed quinoa and mash; or
Chicken Falstaff with pineapple salsa, yam and cauliflower puree; or
Potato gnocchi with cream of shiitake, shimeji and portobello mushrooms

Dessert

Silver glazed chocolate brownie, fresh berries and buttermilk mousse; or
Mango cheesecake and citrus soil

The total price is R3 200 per couple. Check-in is any time from 2pm on the Saturday and check-out is at 11am on the Sunday. You are also welcome to enjoy a tour of Maropeng and the Sterkfontein Caves, which are situated adjacent and in close proximity to the hotel respectively.
