Swartkrans Walking Tour

Age: Adults only
Venue: Meet at the Sterkfontein Caves with Dr Sutton before walking to Swartkrans
Cost: The cost of the tour is R375 per person and includes a light picnic lunch
This tour will only go ahead if a minimum of seven people have booked.
Stargazing – Our Summer Skies 2
25 January 2014
Explore the universe with Maropeng’s resident astronomer, Vincent Nettmann.
Discover some amazing facts about the fascinating lifecycles of stars as we take a last look at our summer skies for this season.
We will observe the summer sky objects through our range of large-aperture telescopes.
Guests are encouraged to bring binoculars to participate in a beginner’s laser-guided sky tour. We recommend that you bring a jersey, as the late evenings can become chilly.
Age: Adults only
Time: 6pm with welcome drinks
Venue: Maropeng Boutique Hotel
Cost: R350 per person, which includes the stargazing presentation and set menu
Please note the laser-guided star tour and large-aperture telescopic stargazing are subject to weather conditions.
