Maropeng takes part in ‘Visit with Visa’ promotion

Up to half a million international visitors are expected to flock to South Africa for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. As winner of the Tourist Attraction category in South African Tourism’s 2008 Welcome Awards, Maropeng should be on everyone’s list of things to see between FIFA World Cup™ matches.

In the run up to the FIFA Confederations Cup and 2010, Maropeng, in association with Visa, is offering all Visa cardholders a discount.

The offer includes a 10% discount on both Maropeng and Sterkfontein Caves tour tickets, and includes combined tickets (although these cannot be purchased after 1pm).

Valid until December 31 2009, the offer excludes any promotional rates, including family tickets.

Maropeng Marketing Manager Erica Saunders says, “We believe that every game during the FIFA Confederations and FIFA World Cup™ is a home game, and as South Africa is hosting these two tournaments, we believe that every visitor to our country should take a pilgrimage to see where their distant ancestors once lived.”
