Sad loss for Maropeng

One of Maropeng’s staff members, Sinah Motshaba, passed away on February 17, 2010, due to illness.

Sinah will be sorely missed by her colleagues, who say she was the personification of ubuntu.

“She was a special lady, she always had a smile on her face,” said Maropeng’s managing director, Tony Rubin.

Erica Saunders, Maropeng’s marketing manager said, “She was an angel, a very special lady. Always very happy and always wanting to know how you were.”

Food and beverage manager, Patrick Mutavhatsindi, says her death is a sad loss, especially to her department. “She was quite energetic and loyal, and would go out of her way to make sure the place [Maropeng] was clean ... and [she was] a hard worker,” he said.

“She was also a team player and it’s very sad to lose a person of her calibre.”

“It’s a great loss to our department,” he added.

The Maropeng family would like to send its condolences to Sinah’s family.
