New Cradle of Humankind brochure on sale
June 7, 2010

How was the Earth formed? What can I see at Maropeng? What fossils were found at the Sterkfontein Caves? Why is protecting the past important? Who was the father of evolution? What is DNA?
If you’re looking for answers to these questions and more, a new brochure is available on-site at the Maropeng Visitor Centre and at the Sterkfontein Caves.
The brochures contain practical details of what to see, where to see things, and include maps of the venues and guides to the exhibits.
They also contain short pieces on the science and history behind what’s on show, such as how humans evolved, how the caves were formed, and why is it so imperative to protect this heritage.
The brochure costs R10.
