The Maropeng Visitor Centre is running a weekly competition where you can win a fantastic prize that will let you experience the beauty of the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site.

This week you can win tickets for two to join the Cooper’s Cave picnic and walking tour. The picnic and walking tour, which take place once a month, are not just about enjoying food and drink at this intriguing fossil site, where fossils of extinct animals and ancient stone tools have been found. You also get an interactive talk about evolution, the chance to explore the caves, some time to examine the fossils, and more!

Booking is essential and subject to availability. Make sure you get in before the final tour, which takes place in October!

All you need to do is to “like” the Maropeng Facebook page and post a message on our wall.

Tell us what you love about Gauteng’s only World Heritage Site, the Cradle of Humankind.

The Maropeng Visitor Centre is an award-winning tourist attraction, which is conveniently located an hour from Johannesburg and Pretoria. Visit Maropeng to learn more about the origins of humankind.
