Kids entertainment at the Cradle Festival
May 6, 2011
Do you want to do something a little bit different with your kids this autumn? Why not bring them to the Maropeng Visitor Centre, where they can enjoy a whole range of fun activities as part of the inaugural Cradle Festival?
The Cradle Festival, between May 6 and May 15, isn’t just for adults. With a dedicated children’s area, complete with childminders, sports activities and a range of fun entertainment, your kids will be spoilt for choice.
For budding cyclists there is the Honda Mountain Biking Kiddies Adventure taking place on Sunday, May 8. The Kiddies Adventure is a 3km cycle route for children up to the age of 12, and will take them on a scenic route through the Maropeng Visitor Centre grounds.
Clamber Club will be hosting a cool obstacle course for the kids on May 7 and May 8.
For those kids looking for something a little less boisterous, there are plenty of other activities taking place in the children’s area, not least of all the on-stage entertainment, which includes a trick cyclist, line dancers, fashion shows, fire dancers and even a hot dog-eating competition.
Of course, there is also a lot to keep the adults entertained, so check out www.cradlefestival.co.za for more information.
Tickets cost R45 for adults, R20 for kids and are available online through www.webtickets.co.za. You can also buy them at the door; R50 for adults and R25 for kids.
