It’s nearing that time of the year when companies begin planning their end-of-year parties to thank their employees for another year of hard work.

To help you get the ball rolling, Maropeng has put together a variety of great packages that offer a venue with a view and accommodate different budgets.

The Maropeng Boutique Hotel and Tumulus Building offer the ideal venue combination for corporate year-end functions. Our exquisite dining facilities and luxurious accommodation, set in the picturesque surroundings of the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site, will provide you with a unique and unforgettable experience.

Our three conference rooms can be used individually, or in combination, for small and large corporate events. All the rooms have adjustable capacity, depending on your needs. Our dedicated and creative events team will assist in making your function a memorable experience – just tell us what you would like to achieve, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Make your 2010 year-end function an event to remember – take your guests on a journey of discovery through the ancient past, right up to the present and beyond, at the Maropeng Visitor Centre.

The following end-of-year packages are on offer:

• Maropeng tour, cocktails and lunch at the Maropeng Boutique Hotel (maximum 60 guests) – R405 per person
• Maropeng tour, cocktails on arrival and braai – R307 per person
• Maropeng tour, cocktails on arrival and a finger/fork lunch – R300 per person
• Maropeng tour, cocktails on arrival and “Mrs Ples” buffet lunch – R365 per person
• Maropeng tour, cocktails on arrival and “Harry the Hominid” buffet lunch – R400 per person
• End-of-year accommodation special (dinner, bed and breakfast) – R940 per person sharing
• End-of-year accommodation special (dinner, bed and breakfast) – R1 210 per person
• “Harry the Hominid” breakfast and Maropeng and Sterkfontein Caves tours – R320 per person
• “Mrs Ples” breakfast and Maropeng and Sterkfontein Caves tours – R270 per person
